Mount Pisang peak, rising from yak pastures above the village in a uniform slope to the final summit pyramid which is an undistinguished snow and ice slope is a beautiful touristic destination of Nepal. It is seen more interesting as a curved ridge, with face above this peak being the truncated southern end of the mountain while seeing from above Ogre. This mountain is made up of steeply slanting rock, the dip slope of which faces the valley and is well seen as the great rock slabs further down the valley. Still more is left to be explored in this mountain. The whole of the western side guarded by a hanging glacier is challenging whilst a traverse of the whole summit ridge which connects to a more northern summit before curving back west consist of superb possibility. As the ridge is guarded by huge rock slabs, access to the western end of the ridge looks problematical. A German Expedition team was the first to climb this 6091 meters elevated peak in the year 1955. Monterosa Treks and Expedition organizes Mount Pisang Peak Expedition in every season. Please feel free to contact us for further information.
Conquering Mount Chulu West and Mount Chulu Central can be done from a base camp in a small valley north of Manang situated off the main route to Thorong La pass (5416m) from where one can have the best views of this peak. North-West Ridge: Go beyond the hut following the yak pastures and trek up a ridge leading into a hidden valley where the good site for base camp can be found. Then ascend steep slopes to a col 4,900 or 16,076 feet), on a subsidiary ridge which leads down from the main ridge. To the north of the col ascend snow slope for 200 meters to the base of rock bands at 5,100 meters height and high camp is possible there.
It is quiet difficult to climb the rock band to the north-west shoulder of Chulu west 5450m/ 17,880ft. Another camp can be established or alternative can be placed on a snow plateau above 5,530m/18,143 ft. Rope was fixed on the rock band on the first and several other ascents. From the plateau, treks up the progressively narrow ridge to reach the summit 6,250 meters /20,505 feet. We should use the same route to return back. Every season Monterosa Treks and expedition organizes this expedition for the expedition lovers.
