The first ascent of Mount Putha 7246m was made by a British team in 1954. The last ascent was made by a Swiss team on 23 May 2007. This mountain can be reached from Kathmandu via Nepalgunj, Dolpa (Jufhal) by flight and Dunai, Tarakot, Musi Khola Kagkot, Yak Kharka by foot; the base camp can be inspected after that. Putting up Cairns on the moraine to make a path from base camp to Camp-1 will make it easier for you to walk. There are not many crevasses between Camp-1 and Camp-, so it is possible to use skis. On the rock band, you can set up camp since the route is quite clear. You should leave early in the morning at about 4 AM if the weather is clear on summit day from 5,700m., It is a long climb from camp. The only summit visible from here is a false summit. Camp I -5,300m, Camp II -6,700m, Summit from Camp II - Base Camp 4,800m, Camp I -5,300m, Camp II -6,700m.
