From the south-west ridge of Mount Ama Dablam, one ascends the mountain. Beginners to mountaineering usually start their climb on Mount Ama Dablam, 6812 meters high, a small snow-capped peak in the Everest region. The South-West ridge is the most popular route to ascend Mount Ama Dablam, which is considered the most technical mountain in the world. On their climbing route, the mountaineers have to cross difficult ice rocks and steep snow slopes. Ama Dablam 6812m is usually climbed by mountaineers by pitching 3 high camps. In order to get to the first camp, climbers must pass through the toughest and most difficult saddle ridges, and then turn north climbing up through the rocky ground and boulder fields. As we are now in Camp 1, one has to cross the rocky bowl and climb the ridge to Camp II via the fixed lines. After crossing severe rocks and ridges leading you to Camp 2, you'll find a second camp. Climbing from Camp II requires mostly steep mixed alleyways of rock, ice and snow. The route descends to the slope, climbs to snow ground, passes through steep snow and ice tunnels and finally goes along the steep snow ridge to Camp III. To reach the summit, you must climb steeply on snow and ice to the right of a large hanging glacier. Stunning views of Everest 8848m, Lhotse 8516m, Island Peak, Makalu 8463m, Khumbu Himalayas and other snowcapped mountains can be seen from the top of Ama Dablam.

Information for Island peak: The majority of summits are located in the heart of Sherpa World. Through the Solu Khumbu, we take the classic Everest route. As the trail to Everest base camp veers off the trail, Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa capital, is taking a detour. After crossing Chhukuma La at 6183m, we will enter the Gokyo valleys, a land of high altitude lakes and icy glaciers. As well as going to Gokyo valley and Chhukuma La Pass, you should proceed to Everest base camp. At 18,192 feet (5,545 meters), Kala Patthar offers spectacular views of the Khumbu glacier on the way to Everest base camp, 17,575 feet above sea level. The route descends to Dingboche and continues to the Chukkung valley and Island Base Camp (Imja Tse). Following one night at the high camp perched on the South West Ridge, we attempt to summit 20,305ft. Khumbu's magnificent vistas can be seen from here. When descending to the base, you can take a picture of Chukkung valley's landscape. Since Island Peak is so easy and common, most visitors from all over the world are willing to visit there. You can see the vistas of the Himalayas of Mount Everest, Mount Makalu, Mount Lhotse (over 8,000m), and many other mountains from there. Lukla airstrip is the end of the journey, then you fly back to Kathmandu.
