Mount Ama Dablam is normally climbed from the South-West ridge. The most common way for beginners to begin mountaineering is to climb this mountain. Climbing from Camp II requires mostly steep mixed alleyways of rock, ice, and snow. A steep snow and ice tunnel leads from the slope to snow ground, then along the snow ridge to Camp III, and from here to the summit, it is a steep climb on snow and ice to the right of a huge hanging glacier. Stunning views of Everest 8848m, Lhotse 8516m, Island Peak, Makalu 8463m, Khumbu Himalayas and other snowcapped mountains can be seen from the top of Ama Dablam.
