This lake Gosainkunda trek is situated at the height of 4312m. There are many lakes around here, and these lakes are the destination for both the thousand of Hindu and Buddhists Pilgrims during the month of August; and also for the ecological favorite tourists from allover the world to observe. This is a very famous holy lake for the Hindus and the Buddhists. Thousands of Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims visit the lake every year during the full- moon festival in August. According to the Hindu mythology, when the God churned the ocean to produce nectar to offer eternal life to the gods for saving from Ghosts; the poison was also appeared there. So to save the universe from this poison, Lord Shiva drank it after keeping in his throat. To cool down his burning throat, Lord Shiva struck his trident on to the rocky mountain creating three springs; which lastly appeared in the formation of beautiful lakes. Finally, Lord Shiva drank the water of the lakes and got rid of the pain. This trek awards you excellent views of snow-capped mountains, picturesque valley and glimpse of exotic 108 holy lakes with diversified ethnic culture of the people. The three week tour comes with Lang tang, Gosaikunda and Helambu valley trek.

Day 08: Kutungshyang - Patibhanjyan
Day 09: Patibhanjyang - Sundarijal & drive to Kathmandu
Day 10: Fly to Biratnagar- drive to Koshi Tappu safari
