Mount Api Himal (West) 7,100m. Expedition autumn 2017

Api Expedition

Fixed Departure
01 October 2017

Api Himal is the highest mountain in western Nepal. Very few tourists have visited the region so far as the area is remote and untouched and also difficult to trek. Though remote this is wild and extremely beautiful mountain landscape, full of exotic people, rapid rivers and pristine wilderness. Api Himal is at a virgin natural place, with mysterious culture and panoramic view of mountains like Nanda devi, Rajramba, Api Himal, Kappa Culi Peak and so forth which can melt anyone’s heart.  Walking for two hours from the base camp, there is a holy lake called Kalidhunga. Settled down between the Indian subcontinent and the frozen plains of the Tibetan plateau, the Himalayas are hidden in the far northwest corner of Nepal. This barren forgotten basin of mighty Karnali River is adorned with the shadows of towering Saipal range and sacred Takh and Changla Himal. It is the paradise of extreme geographical conditions with the fluctuating elevation between 1524m, 7337m, and an approximate population of 45,000. An archaic dialect of Tibetan and Nepali languages is still in use by the natives. Mostly the snow bound in winter, Humla District is pleasant in summer.
