The snow-capped rocky peak-Kailash Parbat (mountain), 6714meters is also believed to be a place where founders of Tibetan Buddhism, Jainism and Bonpo religions once meditated and resided. Mostly Hindu people believe Mount Kailash to be the abode of supreme Hindu God, Lord Shiva and his wife Parvati. One more religious doctrine opines that taking a dip in it helps one attain “Mokshya”: free from the cycle of birth and re-birth in the worldly life. This Lake is so mighty that it takes three full days to just go round its peripheries even for the locals. Other adventure lovers or new pilgrims may take 5-7 days for same rotation. One dip into the cold water of this holy Lake is believed to free the soul of all its sins, thus carving a straight path to heaven after death. Ancient Hindu scriptures indicate this Lake as a must visit place for someone who wants to attain “Salvation” - the highest level of achievement in Hindu religion. 04 May 2017 Day 02: Katmandu – A visit to the temple of Pashupatinath, the biggest Hindu Temple in Kathmandu. After paying homage to the lord Pashupatinath, Briefing for Kailash Yatra by Helicopter & afternoon transfer to domestic Kathmandu airport & flight to Nepalgunja (450m) 55 minutes flight, overnight stay at Hotel
05 May 2017 Day 03: Morning flight to Simikot (2950m) 45 minutes flight time,
Take rest and then helicopter fly to Hilsa, 30 minutes flight time, across the bridge and 1 hour drive to Purang (3800meters) Acclimatization, Overnight stay at guesthouse.
06 May 2017: Day 04: Acclimatization and rest in Purang/Taklakot
07 May 2017 Day 05: Drive to Mansarovar (4580m) Lake 3 hours drive time, Holy bath, Puja and Parikrama of Mansarovar Lake Overnight stay at guesthouse
08 May 2017 Day 06: Drive to Yamdwar (Tarboche) 2 hours drive time, the starting point of Kailash Parikarma. Trek to Dirapuk (4860m). 6-7 hours walking. Overnight at guesthouse
09 May 2017 Day 07: Trek to Dolma La pass (5636m), Trek to Zutulpuk (4790m). 10-11 hours walk Overnight stay at basic guesthouse
10 May 2017 Day 08: Trek to Chongdo then drive to Mansarovar (4580m) Lake, Overnight stay at guesthouse.
