Lhasa - Everest Base Camp to Mount Kailash Tour

Lhasa EBC Kailsh Tour

Full moon night in Manasarovar Lake on 06 September 2017 (Purnima)

As believed to be the most sacred mountain of Asia, Mount Kailash is worshipped as exact “Center of Universe” by Hindus and Buddhist all over the world. For Hindu, it is a sacred abode of Lord Shiva and Parvati and for Buddhist it is the place where Lord Buddha does meditation and attains enlightenment. We can say it is the dwelling of god and goddess that’s why thousands of devotees from across the world make a pilgrimage to Mount Kailash and Mansarovar every year despite of several problems on the trail such as high altitude sickness, extreme temperature and rough way.

The 6714 meters elevated rocky black peak Kailash is also popular for it s unique appearance. It has wall sheer with the Buddhist symbol Swastika in its southern side. To make the arduous pilgrimage to this mysterious place is to attain release from the clutches of delusion and ignorance of life. Tibet, an autonomous region of China, as consisting of Mount Kailash and Mansarovar has become a center of attraction to the devotees belonging to four different religion, the Buddhism, The Hinduism, The Jainism and The Bonpo (Tibetan indigenous religion) religions. Travelling via the route of Nepal is the most efficient way to venture this sacred land.

Manasarovar Lake: The lake of Enlightenment, the name Mansarovar (4580m) has been derived from the Sanskrit Language “Manas” meaning mind and “Sarovar” means Lake. There are different religious myths associated with this lake. Hindu people believe it as a bathing lake of Hindu God Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati whereas Buddhists believe that Lord Buddha meditated nearby this lake for long to obtain wisdom and consciousness about the reality of life. Hence devotees also circumambulate this lake with a belief to rinsing all the sins committed knowingly or unknowingly ever in the life time. This lake is at an altitude of 4580 meters and it is not so easy to rotate the periphery of this gigantic lake as it takes three full days just walk on its whole circumference. Even one dip into its cold water is believed to efface sins from soul and diseases and sickness from ones physical body. Drinking the water of this pure lake is to obtain blessing of gods and opening the door to heaven after death. “Mokshya”, an ultimate escape from the cycle of Birth death and re-birth of the mortal life securing place in Heaven is the reward of the exertion of circling the Lake. Mount Kailash and Mansarovar is one of the best pilgrimages where every human being aspires to visit at least once in their life time. If you want to feel the divinity of this place then the travel company Monterosa organizes holy trip to this land every year. You are always welcome to join us. We are always at your service. Guests are god.
